Our main goal is educating the community in the available recycling of appropriate materials and to assist in making it easier for the community to avail themselves of the opportunity to recycle.  Our first project is recycling clean, dry, empty plastic bags and film packaging.  We want to make it easier for those who presently are not recycling their plastic film and bags.  As an added benefit when we collect a minimum of 500 pounds of plastic film in a 6 month period we will be given a Trex bench which will be placed in our community.  We have a bin located in Jim Roberts West Main Auto and will soon have more locations for drop offs.  You may also give your plastic to any Mount Joy Lions Club member.
