OUR PROJECTS

 

PANCAKE BREAKFAST

TThe Mount Joy Lions Club will hold its annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, April 28, 2018, beginning at 6:30 am and continuing through 10:00 am.  This year's menu will include pancakes, sausage and eggs.  The Breakfast will be held at the Trinity Lutheran Church at the corner of Main Street (Route 230) and Manheim / Mount Joy Road (Route 772) in Mount Joy.

WHITE CANE DAYS

 

TMount Joy Lions fundraiser to benefit Vision Corp. and the blind.


TThe Mount Joy Lions Club will hold a White Cane fundraiser on May 4 (4 to 7 pm) and May 5 (9 am to 3 pm) at Darrenkamp's Market in Mount Joy, PA. Your donation will help Vision Corp. to improve the lives of the blind. Please stop by at Darrenkamps and meet the Lions members. USED EYE GLASS COLLECITON

The Club maintains a collection box for used eye glasses at the entrance of the Milanof-Schock Library on Anderson Ferry Road in Mount Joy.  Glasses are collected and then forwarded to Vision Corps which will, through Lens Crafters, recondition them and then arrange for distribution in third world countries around the world.

 

 

 

COMMUNITY BLOOD DRIVES

IN COOPERATION WITH THE CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA BLOOD BANK

THE CLUB SCHEDULES AT LEAST TWO BLOOD DRIVES EACH LIONS YEAR.  GENERALLY, THE DRIVES ARE

SCHEDULED IN OCTOBER AND FEBRUARY. 


 

FOOD DRIVES

 THE CLUB SCHEDULES AT LEAST TWO FOOD DRIVES EACH YEAR,

ONE IN THE FALL AND ONE IN THE SPRING.

OUR FOOD DRIVES SUPPORT THE MOUNT JOY FOOD BANK AND

THE MAYTOWN/CONOY FOOD BANK.
